Return Policy
Effective June 2026
Direct orders (dottedeyepress.com)
The Field Guide is a workbook program. Once your student starts working through it, returning it works about the same as refunding tuition after the third week of class. Here's how that plays out in practice.
Defective or damaged on arrival. We replace it. Email greg@dottedeyepress.com with photos and your order details. No need to ship the damaged copy back.
Changed your mind before your student started. You have 14 days from delivery to return the book unopened or in like-new condition. Email greg@dottedeyepress.com with your order number. We'll send the return address; ship it back at your cost. Once it arrives, we'll refund the book price to your original payment method within 7 business days. Original shipping isn't refunded.
Your student started, then stopped or pushed back. This happens. Week 2 is the hard one, and Week 4 has its own version of the same thing. The program is built to absorb missed days, and the book doesn't expire because the student took a break. We don't refund based on whether the program got finished; that's a different question than whether the book did its job. If something specific isn't landing, email greg@dottedeyepress.com and we'll talk it through. We can listen even when we can't refund.
Wholesale orders
If you ordered through IngramSpark, a bookstore, a library catalog, or any wholesale source, we don't process the return. Wholesale terms are non-returnable to Dotted Eye Press by design. If you need to return a wholesale order, work with whoever sold it to you.
If you bought 10 or more copies through a direct conversation with greg@dottedeyepress.com (a bulk order for a school, a department, a summer program, an advisory team), reach out the same way and we'll work out what makes sense. Those orders aren't catalog-standard; the conversation is the policy.
